My return to the WT...a terrible mistake
by JustHuman14 ini haven't posted for quite a bit, decided to share my thoughts on this one, so it is a reference topic for anyone who decides to return back to the org, knowing all about the tatt.
being way for quite long for almost 15 years and all wt's activities, i have missed quite a lot including the "new light" latest updates, i found it quite hard to follow up what was going on to the meetings.
new songs, wt broadcast, videos, internet (so wt now is in favor of the internet) cartoons, and everything seemed completely new and weird to me.. reason for going back it was the severe pressure from close family members to return back to the "truth".

Trouble in paradise!
by Confusedalot injust for fun, some thoughts about the paradise teaching:.
will all the carnivores be transformed anatomically?
if a lion is transformed into a herbivore would it still be a lion?

why still have meetings in this paradise earth? its very existence will prove god--and the watchtower--were right all along. it will be just one big congregation.
no cars--therefore no need for roads. no colleges or universities. or hospitals. or police. or doctors. or nurses.
in a few generations mankind really will have reverted back to the stone age. this will make jehovah happy.

i read catch-22 many years ago--its a bit like Franz' book crisis------you have to get t the first half out of the way....--then the second half begins to make sense. if that makes sense.
reading these Bethel stories--i cant believe how anyone could stay there for more than a few hours....
i only ever new one bethel boy--here in the UK. this was back in the 70's. apparently he ran the pioneer desk--? whatever that was--but quit and returned home--to the Isle of Wight--where i live. he is / was a well known character here.

I was on the receiving end of violence from my first wife. She was a born-in and had absolutely no boundaries at all once she became angry. Her whole family were that way inclined although she was by far the worst. Eventually, our neighbours who were also witnesses reported the matter to the elders having heasrd her screaming. They came to visit just as I was sporting some deep facial scratches. They sat me down and read me Scriptures about how I must keep her in subjection. Oh boy.
were we married to the same woman ?
my first wife( born in 3rd gen) used to provoke arguments with me--and go into a sulk for days if she didnt get her own way. this usually ended with her attacking me--such as a full punch on my nose while i was asleep....also a thrust with a long kitchen knife --which i sidestepped and it went through the door behind me.
this usually resulted in a full on scrap--ending in violent sex--which i realised years later was what she wanted anyway.

Yes snugglebunny - sad but true.
I was surprised (annoyed even?) when stan livedeath made his comment above - especially as he mentioned earlier in this same thread that his wife apparently works as a senior carer in a care home
annoyed even ? ..... tough!
what has my wifes job got to do with care home fees? where she works its £600 a week--for self funders. they also take council funded residents as well...but i dont know the fees charged to the council.
BUT--bear in mind a lot of homes struggle to find self funders. my late father paid his own--i negotiated £1900 a month--he was there 3 years and got excellent care NOT a jar jireh place either
so they rely on council funded clients to fill beds. self funders are the icing on the cake.
by the way--for what its worth--my ex wife was also in the care profession--in fact the registered manager of a 20 bedded place. so i have a fair hearsay understanding of how care home economics work.

on the balance of probability--i would think the majority of elderly dubs in the UK are "poor"---just getting by on the state pension. so--when they go into care--its most likely the care home fees will be paid by the local authority ( the council ). so--in the case of these jah jireh homes--yes--a very profitable business. good supply of new customers---fees guaranteed. good supply of staff--no doubt on the minimum wage. thank goodness the regulatory authority--CQC--has teeth !

The guy in prison is a real nut case. Even back then we were told not to go near him. He had about 8 or 9 kids that were ALWAYS taken off him and his wife by social services. But they just kept having babies. He was a violent bully and most likely a psychopath. He broke his own babys jaw. One of his kids he locked in a wardrobe and fed her nettles. Seriously a F-d up individual. His wife never did divorce him, most likely was beating her up too.
is he still a dub ?
